The Newcomers raised $72 for The Detroit Area Diaper Bank at the September meeting. We also able to raise $224 for The Salvation Army at our Newcomer picnic. Thank you everyone!! October’s charity is Angle’s Place. They provide people-centered services, including homes and proThe Newcomers raised $67 for Angel’s Place. Thank you everyone!! November’s charity is Kiwanis Club of Plymouth/Canton. They perform many community service projects to help serve children. The club also packages meals for starving people in developing countries and in the United States following natural disasters. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Stockings will also be available at the November meeting for the Canton Goodfellows No Child without a Christmas program. Each stocking will have the name and age of a child in Canton that needs someone to provide them with a Christmas gift. Suggestions for gifts will be provided. We are asked to spend around $35 per child. Feel free to share the cost with a friend. Take as many stockings as you are able. Please remember to put your name on the sign-up sheet next to the number that is given for your stocking. The gifts need to be returned UNWRAPPED in a bag with the child’s stocking attached.fessional support, for individuals with developmental disabilities. Angle’s Place has sixteen homes that provide specialized residential care, supported independent living and services to over 100 adults. They also offer respite programs for caregivers. This Spring we raised $2250 for Senior Alliance in our Spring Fundraiser, We have now picked Child's Hope to Recieve the funds from our Spring 2010 fundraiser. If your Non-Profit would like to be considered to recieve these funds for 2011 then please download this form here and send it to us by May 31st 2010!
