Daytime Activities:

Creative Kids

This interest group is for parents and their preschool and kindergarten children.  We 

meet once or twice a month for about an hour to do a seasonal craft.  There is a 

nominal fee for the craft materials.

Little Explorers

This interest group is for moms, dads and grandparents too, who would like to go on 

field trips with their children.  We are geared more towards school-aged kids who have 

outgrown some of the traditional Moms and Tots activities.

Moms and Tots

Is a group of moms (dads & grandparents) who get together with their kids, ages 

1^st grade and younger, to participate in fun activities.

Playgroups

Playgroups are a fun way for moms and children to socialize and meet new friends!  

Hostesses volunteer each month to have a playgroup in their home.  

Babysitting Network

The babysitting network has a wonderful list of sitters ready to care for your children.

Ladies Day Out

Is a chance to get away for a few hours or possibly have an entire day of fun with other 

Newcomers.  Popular trips: Menopause, the Musical at the Century Theatre in Detroit; 

Shipshewana, Indiana; Walking Northville's art gallery and shops plus lunch.

Walking Club
Join us as we check out the many walking trails and tranquil locales in the greater 

Canton area.  Reach your 10,000 steps while socializing, talking and walking .

Evening Activites:

Scrapbooking 
This group is all about preserving precious photos and memories. We meet monthly 

in member’s homes for a dedicated time to work on our album projects. 

Book Club
If you love to read and are looking for lively conversation, join us to discuss our 

monthly selection.  There is always plenty of fun, food and frank discussion for all!

Ladies Night Out

Is a great opportunity to spend an evening socializing with your fellow Newcomers while 

enjoying a wide variety of locally based activities or entertainment.

At the Movies

At the Movies is another opportunity for those who enjoy the movies to get out with a group 

to see a current release.  The movies selected often make the list of nominees for the Golden 

Globes and the Oscars.

Chick Flick

Chick Flick is a group that meets once a month to see a movie.  The movie selected is generally, 

a romance or romantic comedy.

Bunko

Bunko is a dice game that is really easy to pick up.  You do not need to have prior experience 

playing.  Each player brings an appetizer or a dessert to pass.  Also everyone brings $6.00 to 

be awarded at the end of the evening to the winners.

Euchre

This is a tournament style event where everyone plays with each other once.  Euchre players of 

all skill levels are welcome.  You do not need a partner to participate.  

Game Night

Is a very casual evening of game playing and socializing. We meet monthly in a member's home 

to enjoy a fun break from the rat race of life.  We play a different game every time.

Men's Poker Night

This is a Texas Hold’em Tournament with cash prizes. Two to three games are played during 

the night.  Poker players of all skill levels are welcome. The buy-in amounts are determined 

the night of the Tournament.

Let's Do Dinner

Come join us for an evening of good food and great conversation!  We try to sample a variety of 

restaurants in the Canton and Plymouth area, some places are old favorites while some are new 

adventures.

Couples Social

Is an opportunity for a night out once a month with your special someone. We plan a different 

event every month ranging from athletic to romantic.
